Carry out the preparations described here in order.
Preparation of COMmander/COMpact PBX, export
Requirements:
•Auerswald PBX of the COMmander/COMpact series, from firmware version 8.6C
−COMpact 4000
−COMpact 5000/R
−COMpact 5200/5200R/5500R
−COMmander 6000/R/RX
Proceed as follows:
1. Perform a firmware update if necessary.
−Administration > Firmware update and restart > Start update
2. Save the configuration data.
−Administration > Data Backup > Read configuration data from the PBX > Read from PBX
Note: Select the components to be saved beforehand. If you enable all components, you can also decide which ones to omit during a later import. To transfer network settings to the new PBX system, e.g., the following options must be enabled when importing/exporting data: Read network settings / Network settings
Important: Individual voicemail announcements (*.wav) as well as provisioning files for the COMfortel 1400/2600/3600 IP phones are not imported into COMtrexx. If necessary, save these as described below before taking the PBX out of service. For more information on configuration data that is not transferred, see Data migration.
3. Optionally, save individual voicemail announcemnets.
−Devices > Voice mail and fax boxes > Phone numbers > Select voicemail box > Configure > Announcements
−Select one of the announcements 1 to 10
For each of the 10 possible announcements, it is displayed whether an announcement is available.
−Read from PBX | Read > Save
Note: Save the file for later reference under a unique name (phone number and announcement number).
4. Optionally, save provisioning files for the COMfortel 1400/2600/3600 IP phones.
−Subscriber (scr.) > IP provisioning > File management > mark provisioning files > Export
5. Disconnect the existing PBX system from the network before putting the new PBX system into operation.
Important: This is especially important when transferring network settings to the new PBX system, as otherwise a network conflict will occur (2 devices with the same IP address).
