Backup and restore
During a backup, a backup file is created that contains the configuration and other data for the phone. If required, this backup file can be uploaded to the phone again.
A data backup can, for example, be useful if the phone is reset to its factory settings and it is not planned to completely reconfigure it.
*Note: Uploading the backup file can involve a data migration. The phone cannot be used while this is happening. A message appears on the display to tell you a data migration is taking place.

Requirement for use
A data backup involves protected data. Before downloading starts, you must confirm that you want it to do so, in the dialogue window.
*Important: Comply with the legal notes below before backing up the data. The data backup includes these elements with special legal protection:
The phone's configuration
Names of internal subscribers
Passwords set for the phone, subscribers, VoIP accounts and VoIP subscribers
The phone's address books
Connection data sets with the destination, source, and time information for a telecommunication connection.
Potentially WLAN passwords
VPN information and VPN credentials
Potentially webcam and access data
LDAP information
Potentially information about Sync accounts (CalDAV, CardDAV)
All the phone's users must be informed that this content will be transferred, and who will process the data obtained, before a backup is created. It is essential to store the data securely and in accordance with legal requirements. You must ensure that all legal requirements are met if you want to supply the data backup to your specialised dealer or the manufacturer for error analysis.
