Update
An update involves updating the firmware To add new features and resolve any problems that might exist. Here, the device sets up a connection with an update server, from which it downloads the latest firmware. (The settings on the device remain unchanged).
There are three ways to carry out an update:
Manual update via the update server
Automatic update via the update server
Update via a USB storage device
Provisioning

*Note: In exceptional cases, settings must be adjusted after an update (data migration) so that the phone can be used again. A message appears on the display to tell you a data migration is taking place.
*Important: If the updater fails to boot the device (e.g. because there is a defective hard disk partition), the system informs you in an error message. Pass the content of this message on to the Service team if requested.
