Analogue phones, fax machines or door terminals can be connected to a COMtrexx via analogue terminal adapters (hereinafter referred to as ATA).
Auerswald recommends using the following ATA for up to 2 or 4 analogue devices:
•2 analogue devices: 2 port ATA FTA5102E2
•4 analogue devices: 4 port ATA G504
Note: Alternative for COMtrexx Business and COMtrexx Flex: By upgrading with a 4FXS module, there are now four internal ports for analogue devices (telephones, fax machines, door stations, announcement outputs) available.
Supported Functions
The following functions can be used in the normal way on the analogue telephones connected via the ATA.
•Incoming call with phone number and name display
In an external call, the name is only displayed if the phone number has been entered as a contact in the COMtrexx.
•Outgoing call
•Transfer with an announcement
•Splitting a call
Telephones connected to the COMtrexx can be used in the normal way to perform the following functions, even when used together with the analogue telephones.
•Incoming calls from analogue telephones with phone numbers and name display
•Outgoing calls to analogue telephones
•BLF status of the analogue telephones (free, call, busy)
Unsupported Functions
The following functions cannot be used:
•Transfer without announcement (blind transfer)
•Three-way call

Setup on 2 port ATA FTA5102E2
To begin setting up the ATA, a basic configuration and optionally a firmware update must be performed. The basic configuration provides the most important settings for operation of the COMtrexx.
Two variants are possible:
•Automatically via Internet (recommended)
•Manually
Basic configuration and firmware update automatically via Internet (recommended)
Requirements:
•ATA is in factory default state
•Existing network with
−COMtrexx

1. Switch on the ATA (plug-in power supply) and connect the ATA to the network (WAN port).
Please observe the instructions/safety information included with the ATA.
The ATA starts.
The firmware is updated and the basic configuration is loaded automatically.
Important: This process takes about 10 minutes in total. Do not disconnect the ATA from the network or power supply.
2. Enter the IP address assigned by the DHCP server for the ATA in the address field of the browser.
Note: The IP address can be determined. e,g. using an IP scanner.
