Configuring the PBX remotely via the Internet (without (Auerswald) Remote Access Server)
Requirements:
Existing Internet connection between the computer and the PBX
Permanent external IP address, or the use of VPN or DynDNS
A router configured for this purpose
You need to know the PBX admin user name and admin password
Knowledge of the set web server port
*Note: Read the instruction of your router.
*Note: The access is possible via http: and via https: (encrypted access). In case of activated option Force HTTPS connection, only the https connection can be used. In this case a selected port must be forwarded to the port 443 of the PBX. Calling then for example with https://mein.dyndns.org:[Port].
*Important: Make sure that there are no easy to guess passwords for all access options as they are a security risk.
*Important: An internal network is usually protected from actions from the outside by, for example, a firewall integrated in the router. For questions about configuring your firewall, contact the system administrator responsible for this topic.
1.Start a browser.
2.Enter https:// and the external Internet address of the PBX as well as :and the port into the address field of the browser.
3.Enter your user name and the corresponding password.
4.Click OK.
5.Make the desired changes.
