Outgoing mail server
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
Select the outgoing mail server to be displayed/configured.

Name
Freely selectable name. This name is used to identify the outgoing mail server within the PBX and from connected phones.

Address
Enter the address of the outgoing mail server:
IPv4 address
Four blocks separated by a dot (.).
IPv6 address
Eight blocks separated by a colon (:).

Port
*Note: In the factory settings, the port is set to 25.
Requirements:
Knowledge of the access data for the outgoing mail server
Enter the port number of the outgoing mail server between 1 up to 65535. You can obtain the port number from your e-mail provider or read it up in the Internet.

Type of authentication
No authentication
Disables authentication.
User name / Password (AUTH PLAIN)
Enables authentication via user name/password.
User name / Password (AUTH LOGIN)
Enables authentication via user name/password.
MD5 challenge-response (AUTH CRAM-MD5)
Enables authentication via MD5 challenge-response (MD5 = Message-Digest Algorithm 5).

The authentication type is set automatically.

User name
Requirements:
Enabled authentication
Enter the user name. In the most cases, this is your e-mail address.

Password
Requirements:
Enabled authentication
Enter the password that belongs to the user name.

Encryption (SSL)
If encryption is enabled, the connection of the outgoing mail server is secured using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. The data is transferred via https.
No encryption
Switches encryption off.
Encryption (SSL) after STARTTLS
Switches encryption on after STARTTLS.
Encryption (SSL) immediately
Switches encryption immediately on.

Default outgoing mail server
The outgoing mail server first configured in the PBX is automatically switched on as Default outgoing mail server. To switch it off, use as Default outgoing mail server must be switched on for another outgoing mail server.
The selected outgoing mail server is used as default.
*Note: The setting Default outgoing mail serveris shown in grey to indicate that the outgoing mail server is now being used as default. To switch it off, use as Default outgoing mail server must be switched on for another outgoing mail server.

Sender
Enter the address of the e-mail sender. It is used to display it to the recipient of the e-mails.

New
Creates a new entry.

Delete
Deletes the entries marked in the list.
